Princess Tea Party
Laila and Salma are 3!! I honestly still can’t believe it. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing them home, after basically living at the hospital for a month. But that’s a story for another time :)
Since their birthday was during Ramadan this year, I decided to have a little party for them with a few friends, instead of a big party for adults, which is what we did last year.
So, I headed over to google, and found THE CUTEST spot to have their birthday - Let’s Pretend Parties, in Downtown Grapevine. They host princess tea parties that every little girl would love!
We booked the Tiara Birthday, which included:
private use of the princess tea room for 1.5 hours
dress-up, make-up, and nail painting
tea service: pink lemonade, tea sandwiches, fruit kabobs, cupcakes
crowning ceremony & dance party
tiara and wand for all guests to take home
Reading that description online, I knew it was going to be magical, but my expectations were beyond exceeded! The decor and table set up was beautiful, they had a flower wall with a runway/stage, and even a little cupcake ferris wheel.
When we got there, each girl got to pick a princess dress to change into. Then they got makeovers - eyeshadow, glitter, lip gloss, and nail polish. Laila loved seeing her final look in the mirror!
After the makeovers, they learned the princess wave/song, took the princess oath, and were crowned princesses, with glitter and all! The staff was so sweet, and did a great job getting the girls in the princess spirit. Laila and Salma are still doing the princess wave, which is adorable.
Then it was time for tea! The little princesses were served pink lemonade in a tea pot, grape & marshmallow kabobs, and little tea sandwiches fit for royalty. (We also added-on pizza & ice cream, but everything else was included in the package.) The girls LOVED their unlimited refills of lemonade. :) They also had story time while they ate, and got to listen to The Little Mermaid.
Once they were done with tea, they got to go outside and play with bubbles. Then it was time for cupcakes! Laila and Salma each got a cupcake with a candle while we sang happy birthday, and then each girl got to decorate their own cupcake with an assortment of sprinkles. Last but not least, they ended the party with a dance party! Laila and Salma are obsessed with all the songs from Encanto (specifically “What else can I do” & “Surface Pressure”, and of course “We don’t talk about Bruno”), so they danced to a few of those.
It was SO fun and SO cute!! I feel like we will definitely be back again. They also offer tea parties - it doesn’t have to be a birthday party - so more excuses to dress up as a princess! And (one of) the best parts - I didn’t have to do anything! Everything was taken care of - the food, the decor, the dessert, the activities - even the wand & crown favors! (You can also add on goody bags to the party). 10/10 recommend!!
