Q&A with Shrouq, Nadeen and Shouq

• How do you girls know each other?

  • Me (Shrouq) and Shouq are sisters, and Nadeen is our life-long family friend. Our dads are best friends, and our parents actually went with Nadeen’s dad to pick up her mom from the airport when she first came to the U.S. to get married.

• Where are you from?

  • We were all born and raised in Dallas, Texas, but originally I (Nadeen) am Jordanian-Palestinian, and Shouq and Shrouq are Jordanian.

• Why did you start this blog?

  • We wanted a fun space to share snippets of our life, in order to create our own community where we are not defined by where we are from or the culture we live in.

• Why Originally?

  • We always get asked where we’re from (especially on vacation) and being the Texans that we are, we say Texas (not the U.S.) LOL. Of course there is the follow up question of “no, but originally where are you from?” And thus Originally the blog was born :)

• What can we expect to see on Originally?

  • Anything and everything! I (Shouq) am a mom of 3 year old twin girls, so I will be sharing kids-related content, but I will also share home decor, travel, and cooking/baking. Nadeen loves fashion, makeup, travel, and baking, so you’ll see a lot of that from her. Shrouq loves fashion, makeup and travel as well, and everything in between.
